Job Title: Companion - Live-in PA

We are seeking a compassionate and supportive Personal Assistant to join our team as a live-in carer. The successful candidate will provide daily living assistance to a disabled lady and her 17-year-old son, who suffers from ME, nose bleeds, and chronic tiredness.

Job Purpose:

The Personal Assistant will be responsible for supporting the lady with daily tasks, including showering, dressing, and catheter care. They will also assist with grocery shopping, meal preparation, and household chores. Additionally, the candidate will provide support to the son with his daily routine, prepare his food, and help maintain a clean and safe environment.

Person Specification:

We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • Sensible and Supportive
  • Easy-going with a sense of humour
  • Caring, Understanding, and Compassionate
  • Trained in Medication Support and Super Pubic Catheter Care
  • Not overpowering or intimidating
  • Good with a 17-year-old boy
  • Helpful with organizing
  • Holder of a Clean Driving License
Terms and Conditions:
  • Reimbursement for agreed expenses
  • Rate of pay: £809.94 per week
  • Live-in carer on a week-on, week-off basis
  • Satisfactory enhanced DBS check
  • Mandatory training care courses
  • Satisfactory references from two referees
  • Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months
