Job Summary:

The University of Leeds is seeking a highly skilled Research Infrastructure Service Owner to manage and administer the efficient operation of the Advanced Research Computing (ARC) High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems and support their users.

About the Role:

This is a key position within our team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our HPC systems and providing exceptional support to our users. As a Research Infrastructure Service Owner, you will be the primary point of contact for users, providing guidance and assistance with system usage, troubleshooting, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer the ARC HPC systems, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
  • Provide exceptional support to users, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement strategies for improving system performance, security, and user experience.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, guidelines, and training materials to support user adoption and system optimization.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify and prioritize system enhancements and new feature development.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with system administration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
