About the Role:

In this exciting opportunity, you will be working as part of the Industry Frameworks and Supply Chain Compliance team at Drax Group, reporting to a Compliance Manager. The purpose of the team is to establish, implement, maintain, and continuously improve effective compliance programmes to ensure:

  • our fibre and pellet sourcing, supply, and consumption activities meet regulatory requirements
  • we comply with all obligations under the renewable support and security of supply frameworks for all Drax Group assets, including Renewables Obligation, Contract for Difference, and Capacity Market schemes in the UK, and are able to evidence compliance through appropriate biomass certification schemes
  • our processes, controls, and reporting/verification frameworks are robust and resilient

This role will be a busy and varied position, requiring a proactive approach, strong IT skills, and the ability to manage a workload effectively. You will support the team with data processing, reporting, and verification in relation to complex frameworks and mechanisms, including generation settlement, fuel measurement, sustainability due diligence, and biomass sustainability certification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage administration for multiple workstreams to meet deadlines and ensure a clear audit trail
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including fuel buying teams, international sustainability teams, operational support, and finance
  • Track due diligence documents, biomass certification claims, and supplier sustainability data
  • Work with complex IT systems and regulatory reporting templates/platforms
Requirements:
  • Strong IT skills, especially in Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced administration role
  • Proactive approach, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Ability to influence, make decisions, and handle difficult situations
