About the Role:

We're seeking a Compliance Manager to join our Trading and Generation teams at Drax. As a key member of our compliance team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of consistent advice, guidance, and training in relation to wholesale energy.

Your prior experience dealing with regulators, exchanges, or related third parties will be essential in displaying your knowledge of sound compliance practices within a similar environment. You'll work collaboratively with senior stakeholders across the business, influencing and supporting the growth of our compliance function.

With a strong understanding of wholesale physical and financial markets, as well as energy market regulatory frameworks, you'll use your experience in investigations to develop and present conclusions and recommendations to senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Trading and Generation teams in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement effective compliance policies and procedures
  • Provide training and guidance to colleagues on compliance matters
  • Investigate and analyze complex data to identify compliance risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to influence and drive compliance initiatives

Requirements:

  • Education to degree level with a strong understanding of wholesale physical and financial markets and energy market regulatory frameworks
  • Significant experience working in a compliance team, preferably in the energy or financial services industries
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
