Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented IT Procurement & Asset Administrator to join our team on an interim basis to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for user account administration, following policies and procedures to ensure security and audit compliance. They will also be responsible for the lifecycle management of all managed IT assets, including procurement, security, cost tracking, inventory, usage, and disposal. Additionally, they will respond to requests for IT services, promptly allocating requests as appropriate, maintaining accurate records, and informing users about the process and advising of actions taken.

A Day in the Life of an IT Procurement & Asset Administrator

• Reviews, approves/rejects IT procurement requests
• Processes IT invoices in line with company procedures
• Maintains accurate inventory of devices across the estate
• Manages service requests using company standard tools and processes
• Escalates IT issues within the team
• Manages asset lifecycle
• Performs other reasonable duties consistent with the role as required
• Works to SLA thresholds

• The ability to communicate confidently and clearly to customers both face to face and over the telephone, including at senior business level

• Willingness to travel as required to other company sites for the purpose of onsite support

Mandatory:

  • Secondary School level qualification
  • 1+ years working within an administrative capacity or within a technical services support desk
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office 2010 and newer
  • Understanding of IT Service Management protocols

Desirable:

  • ITIL Certified
  • MCSA
  • Previous experience using helpdesk applications
  • Knowledge of IT hardware, including PCs, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Some post-18 education (Third Level Qualification)
