Senior Mechanical Project Specialist

This is a dynamic role for a seasoned Mechanical Project Specialist looking to lead high-profile projects in the Water Industry. You will be responsible for delivering results autonomously, collaborating with suppliers and our in-house construction team, and liaising with our in-house design team for technical solutions in real-time. WGM Engineering Ltd is a trusted contractor delivering a wide range of Water and Wastewater Projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough site surveys, applying technical expertise for precise measurements, photos, and discussions with operations to understand processes and access information.
- Develop process control procedures for assets/sites, requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills to build a collaborative working relationship with client operators.
- Oversee the resolution of complex technical and logistical issues during project implementation, conducting design reviews, constructability reviews, and on-site checks to ensure the highest standards.
- Manage engagement with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring detailed requirements are met.
- Conduct thorough technical assessments of supplier quotations, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Lead internal and external stakeholder meetings, demonstrating technical proficiency and effective communication.
- Support the Project Manager in developing construction methodology and programme throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and review Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) and regularly report project progress to the Project Delivery Team.
Requirements:
To be considered, you will require at least 2-3 years' experience in an Industrial Engineering role, with knowledge of mechanical systems in an industrial environment. Experience in the Water Industry is desirable, as is a full UK driving license for site visits.
