Job Description:

An esteemed consultancy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Transport Planner to join their team in Wakefield. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive transport planning services with full control and support from the wider team.

You will work closely with clients across various sectors, including education, healthcare, residential, and commercial. Your expertise will be utilized to provide transport advice at due diligence stages, as well as undertaking Travel Plans, Transport Statements, and Transport Assessments.

In addition to your core responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to receive training on carrying out Flood Risk Assessments, further enhancing your skill set.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Obtaining, analyzing, and interpreting traffic and transport data from external sources;
  2. Evaluating development sites based on accessibility by multiple transport modes;
  3. Providing day-to-day technical input into projects, as well as project managing smaller development proposals;
Requirements:
  1. A degree qualification in a relevant field;
  2. A thorough understanding of transport planning principles;
  3. Excellent presentation and technical writing skills;
  4. The ability to manage your time effectively to meet project deadlines;
  5. An understanding of highway design standards and guidance.
