An established consultancy firm in the UK is seeking a Senior Transport Planner to join their team in Wakefield. The successful candidate will have full control over all transport planning services, with the support of a multidisciplinary team.

This role involves delivering Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and Transport Statements for various clients across sectors such as education, healthcare, residential, and commercial. As a Senior Transport Planner, you will be responsible for analysing traffic and transport data, appraising development sites, and providing technical input into projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtaining and interpreting traffic and transport data from external sources;
  • Assessing development sites for accessibility by different modes of transport;
  • Providing day-to-day technical input and project management for smaller development proposals.

The ideal candidate will have a degree qualification in a relevant field and a thorough understanding of transport planning principles. Excellent presentation and technical writing skills are essential, along with the ability to manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
