Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at DO & CO Airline Catering. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and motivate a team of quality auditors to ensure they are developed, directed, and provided with meaningful feedback.
  • Implement and improve food safety procedures based on the Codex Alimentarius and ensure compliance with HALAL requirements.
  • Complete supplier audits and liaise with the purchasing manager to ensure raw materials comply with DO & CO standards.
  • Manage and plan scheduled audits, including hygiene audits, glass and foreign body audits, GMP and HACCP audits.
  • Liaise with external bodies like EHO and FSA to ensure production is updated when legislations are amended.
  • Build partnerships with customers and identify and investigate non-compliance.
  • Establish processes to ensure all specifications and recipes are up to date.
  • Act as a forward-thinking leader, always looking to exceed targets and expectations while maintaining the collectiveness of the team and culture of DO & CO.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all DO & CO family members, partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Complete quality assessment reports and follow through as necessary.
  • Work closely with the executive teams and operations manager to ensure safe products.
  • Responsible for approval of current and new supplier data analysis and statistical interpretation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including procedures subject to document control.
  • Investigate complaints and provide feedback to partners, suppliers, and senior management.
  • Provide precise and accurate reporting to the executive team and head office.
  • Take responsibility for all actions, support the team, and celebrate successes as a family.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and data-driven with the ability to influence different departments to suggest, implement, and track DO & CO standards.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, mentoring and motivating, creating a team spirit, encouraging them to be at their best.
  • Clear and engaging communicator, strong written and verbal English, and the ability to use various methods to keep the team well-informed.
  • Flexible in thinking, making decisions efficiently, and handling change to ensure everything is right for our partners and the DO & CO family.
  • Have a great understanding and working knowledge of your department and be the expert in delivering practical actions for its improvement by taking a hands-on approach.
  • HACCP & Food Hygiene Certification.
  • BSc Food Science or previous experience in a similar role.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office package with excellent working knowledge of reporting and managing data.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety principles.
  • Understanding of Sustainability requirements.
