Diabetes Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate NMC Registered nurse to join our Community Diabetes Specialist Service as a Community Diabetes Specialist Nurse. This role is highly autonomous, and you will play a pivotal role in leading nurse-led clinics, multidisciplinary clinics, and home visits.
Main Duties- Be an expert Diabetes practitioner with detailed professional and clinical knowledge, providing exceptional clinical care for patients in the management of Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes.
- Assess complex Diabetes Specialist care and support needs and develop, implement, and evaluate care.
- Have experience in carbohydrate counting, insulin pump management, and the delivery of BERTIE structured education.
- Have supervisory, training, and clinical leadership responsibilities where appropriate and will have some responsibility for team performance and service developments/improvements.
