We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist to join our team at University Hospital Lewisham. The successful candidate will lead the Occupational Therapy team in the Emergency Department, working closely with the AHP team and the wider MDT across our ED, Medical Assessment Unit and the Frailty ward.

This is an exciting opportunity for a new or developing band 7 as well as those with experience looking for a change. The postholder may be required to undertake a different working pattern, including weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assess and treat a specific caseload of patients with complex needs, prioritising efficiently to help prevent re-admissions.
  • To provide leadership for junior staff, through supervision and appraisal.
  • To participate in the planning, development and evaluation of Occupational Therapy services.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Postgraduate experience in Occupational Therapy, including senior positions.
  • Experience in leading and completing audit and evidence-based projects.
