Job Title: Band 7 Occupational TherapistJob Summary:

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Woolwich is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join our Care of the Elderly Occupational Therapy leadership team. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the AHP team and the wider MDT across the Care of Older Adults wards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional and clinical leadership to Occupational Therapy staff in the Older Peoples Team based at the QEH site.
  • Supervise the day-to-day running of the Older Peoples Occupational Therapy team and work in close collaboration with the OT Site Lead QEH.
  • Coordinate a rolling programme of education, clinical evaluation, audit and research within the older people and frailty pathway at QEH.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice and clinical governance to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Lead and manage limited resources and high workloads, and make decisions that impact the team and the organization.
Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
  • Significant experience of relevant specialist pathway and working autonomously and unsupervised.
  • Experience of managing limited resources and high workloads, and leading and completing audit and evidence-based projects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within MDT and lead change management and innovation in clinical practice.
