Consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine to join our team at the Jenny Lind Children's Hospital, NNUH. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the development of our well-established unit and supporting the East of England CF network and regional respiratory services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care to patients with respiratory conditions, including those with cystic fibrosis.
  • Contribute to the development of our respiratory unit and support the East of England CF network and regional respiratory services.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Participate in teaching and training activities, including under/postgraduate and multidisciplinary teaching.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based medicine practices.
Requirements
  • On the specialist register (CCT in paediatrics OR Equivalent) at or within 6 months of the AAC.
  • Higher degree such as MD, MSc or PhD.
  • CCT in respiratory paediatrics.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and commitment to a career in paediatric respiratory medicine.
  • 2 years paediatric respiratory training or experience in a tertiary centre.
  • Training to level 3 safeguarding and experience of safeguarding at Specialist Registrar or Consultant level.
  • Recent experience with CFTR modulating therapy.
  • Commitment to under/postgraduate and multidisciplinary teaching & training.
  • Recognised postgraduate course in teaching/training (T5 or similar).
  • Post graduate qualification in teaching (PGCert or similar).
  • Able to deliver high quality paediatric care.
  • Expertise in Risk Management.
  • Evidence-based medicine.
  • Flexible outlook on working hours.
  • Must live within a 15-mile radius of the base Trust or 30 minutes travelling time when on call.
