London, Greater London, United Kingdom NHS England Specialised Commissioning Full time
About the Role

We are seeking two Radiotherapy Clinical Fellows to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of national quality improvement initiatives in radiotherapy.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidates will work as part of the national cancer programme of care, specialised commissioning, to support the implementation of the NHS Long Term Plan commitments for radiotherapy. They will work principally through the Radiotherapy Clinical Reference Group, the Learning Healthcare System, and national clinical policy team to support the transition of radiotherapy improvement priorities to local systems.

Person Specification

We are looking for individuals with strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, who have experience of working with Consultant Oncologists to gain consensus. They should also have credibility within their own service area and be able to demonstrate their ability to apply clinical management skills to deliver service-level quality improvement and transformation.

What We Offer

The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with key partner organisations, build an understanding of the national context of clinical leadership, and be mentored by the National Clinical Director for Cancer. They will also have the chance to engage with the work of the Professional Support and Standards Board and its supporting committees.
