About the Role

CapeClarke Limited is seeking a highly skilled Defendant EL/PL Solicitor to join our team in Leeds. As a Defendant EL/PL Solicitor, you will have the opportunity to work on complex and challenging cases involving employers' and public liability claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of EL/PL claims from inception to resolution, providing expert legal advice and representation to clients.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and provide sound legal advice to clients, ensuring the successful outcome of cases.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings and witness statements, to support clients' interests.
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court when necessary, utilizing strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the successful outcome of cases, leveraging expertise and knowledge to drive results.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations, applying this knowledge to inform legal advice and representation.
Requirements
  • Qualified or Non Qualified Lawyer with a minimum of 1 year experience in Personal Injury Litigation - preferably in defendant EL/PL, but will consider someone from a claimant background.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and case law, with the ability to apply this knowledge in complex cases.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional client service, with a focus on results-driven outcomes.
