Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bulk Loader Operator to join our team at a leading manufacturing company in the Chorley area. As a key member of our warehousing team, you will be responsible for loading wagons on time, ensuring high levels of health and safety, and operating heavy machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Shunting: Load wagons on time to the required plan, and safely shunt HGV vehicles around the company premises.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure your shift is maintained to a high level of health and safety, and communicate any issues in a timely manner.
  • Operational Efficiency: Manage the loading space of the yard and vehicles while loading, and ensure that all raw material loads are sampled.
  • Quality Control: Operate the mill intake system in line with procedures for cross contamination, and maintain the working area to an acceptable standard of hygiene.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records for production, maintenance, and quality.
Requirements
  • Health and Safety Knowledge: Sound knowledge of health and safety procedures.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Driving and Operating Licenses: Full car driving license and FLT license.
  • Experience: Previous experience in shunting or loading is essential.
