**Job Purpose**:
Why this role exists and is important to Group55
- To support and Lead production team to achieve world class manufacturing standards in which personal accountability, responsibility, development of people, structured training and continual improvement are expected and delivered.
- Support the Shift Supervisor with the development of the team and delivering the company strategic plan; utilise lean manufacturing tools and techniques to improve all areas of the operation.
- To ensure all Quality and Production reporting is done effectively and efficiently.
- To support the business goals in achieving and sustaining ISO22716/9001, COSMOS, Soil Association and BRCSG Accreditations
**Reporting Relationships**:

- Reports to Production Supervisor
- Close liaison with Engineering to ensure speedy resolution of any production line issues.
- Close liaison with planning to ensure effective scheduling.
- Liaise with Warehouse around componentry and Finished Goods.
- Liaise with Manufacturing relating to bulk liquids.

- Close liaison with Engineering and wider Business to ensure decisions that are made are correct and implementation support the business Goals and Objectives.
- Role is critical for success of Group55, Planning of Line or area to have all components Bulk available and ready for use is critical.
**Key Accountabilities/ Responsibilities**
What this role is responsible / accountable for delivering
- Manage a Team/Teams of Production Operators during the shift period this may vary in size from 3-10 people dependent on the activity.
- Works closely with other Line Leaders, Supply, Manufacturing, Warehouse. Use the support structure of quality when required.
- Champion for their team ensuring the team effectively manages breakdowns, faults and changeovers to ensure maximisation of machine efficiency, therefore reducing downtime.
- This hands-on role will include the organisation of the workload to ensure high productivity is achieved whilst controlling costs and ensuring the timely investigation, rectification and communication of issues and key communication during Production meetings & handovers.
- Motivate, develop, and empower team members to demonstrate habitual behaviour consistent with the core competencies and CANDO attitude (see training matrix).
- Manage escalation of issues that cannot be resolved in line with the escalation procedure. Liaise directly with other internal groups or external suppliers to resolve problems.
- To ensure the team comply with legal, regulatory, and other standards as directed by the line management or the company.
- Ensure individual Development Plan in place for self and all Team Members - All training prioritised and on track.
- Evidence of regular performance reviews and completion of supporting documentation - both informal and formal
- Maintain and adhere to both Hygiene and GMP standards.
- Adherence to all legal requirements, Company H&S Policy & procedures i.e. weekly safety checks, mandatory training and Risk Assessments.
- Achievement and continual improvement of all metrics to include, Plan Achievement, OEE, Quality defect rate, change over times, cleanouts etc.
**Salary**: Up to £12.25 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
