Senior Laboratory Specialist

The University of Cambridge is seeking a highly skilled Senior Laboratory Specialist to join its Aerodynamics and Acoustics Laboratories. This role will provide technical support to research staff and academics, maintaining and operating equipment/apparatus, and guiding students on research techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Support experiments conducted by researchers and academics
- Maintain and operate research and/or teaching equipment/apparatus
- Provide technical advice and guidance to students and research staff
Requirements
- Degree level education/level 6 vocational qualification or equivalent practical experience
- Advanced knowledge of lab technician work involving critical understanding of relevant theory/principles
- Practical experience of specialised laboratory activity and equipment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Good IT skills and high degree of precision and accuracy
Salary and Benefits
Estimated salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum. The University offers a range of benefits including pension scheme, generous annual leave, and access to on-campus sports facilities.
