About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice. As an Accounts Manager, you will play a key role in managing and developing a small, talented group of professionals.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, management accounts, and tax returns for a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a small team, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Review and ensure the accuracy and compliance of all financial reporting in line with UK accounting standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering strategic advice to support their business growth.
  • Assist with business development and support the firm's growth by identifying new opportunities.

Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA qualified with recent experience in a UK accountancy practice.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a small team.
  • A solid understanding of UK accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach to tax planning and problem-solving.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A passion for professional growth, learning, and delivering exceptional service.
