About the Role

The Open Government Partnership (OGP) seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as Senior Regional Coordinator for Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting civil society, governments, and other key actors in using OGP to progress reforms on transparency, accountability, and participation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support OGP members across multiple countries in Europe in developing and implementing high-quality action plans.
  • Identify and encourage learning between OGP countries, engage thematic and development partners, donors, and regional / multilateral institutions.
  • Conduct political and strategic analysis to promote open government in the region.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (public administration, political science, law, international relations).
  • Extensive experience working on governance issues within Europe, focusing on transparency, accountability, participation, or open government reform.
  • Experience engaging with civil society organizations, governments, funders, and/or multilateral institutions.
  • Excellent communication and relational skills, including building effective collaborations, influencing senior decision-makers, networking, public speaking, and meeting facilitation.
  • Able to manage complex priorities and multiple portfolios simultaneously.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this role is 72,000 - 77,000 EUR, based on location in Brussels.
