KPMG UK is seeking an experienced Strategic Procurement Manager to join our Major Projects Advisory team. In this role, you will work alongside a talented team of professionals to deliver complex projects and programmes, leveraging your expertise in commercial strategy and procurement.

With a strong background in project and programme management, you will possess a deep understanding of procurement in construction and project contexts, as well as experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies, supply chain management initiatives, and market analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies, supply chain management initiatives, and market analysis to achieve client objectives.
  • Work closely with project teams to deliver client engagements, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Provide advice to clients on procurement law and regulations, contract forms, and industry-standard practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for process improvement and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

  • Post-qualification experience in commercial or programme management with a wider working knowledge of engineering, design, delivery, and construction supply chains.
  • A good understanding of procurement law and regulations, industry-standard contract forms, and issues impacting project performance.
  • Ability to set out a clear approach to tackling new challenges in the most efficient manner.
  • Clear, concise, fact-based reporting and communication skills.
  • Rapidly building rapport and delivering with new teams.

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location: London, Birmingham, or Manchester (with travel throughout the UK and occasionally overseas).
