Global Trade Compliance Manager

About the Job
We are seeking a Global Trade Compliance Manager to join our team at The Co-operative Group.
As a key member of our Public Affairs, Regulatory and Taxation teams, you will be responsible for collaborating with government agencies to understand and influence policy developments related to importing and exporting goods.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of customs risks and processes, with experience in managing critical master data to facilitate timely and accurate customs declarations.
You will also coach and develop a team of Customs Analysts, establishing a culture of continuous improvements and quality assurance, while managing compliance performance of Co-op and Nisa's customs agents.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a hybrid way, splitting your time between home and the office at least once a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with government agencies to engage with UK policy developments.
- Manage customs risks and improve processes.
- Develop and manage critical master data for customs declarations.
- Coach and develop Customs Analysts.
- Ensure compliance performance of Co-op and Nisa's customs agents.

- An estimated salary of £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
