The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth in the independent builders' merchant sector. This role involves hunting for and building relationships with buyers and decision-makers in named accounts, as well as engaging with relevant buying groups to drive brand involvement.


About You:

You will be a driven sales professional with experience working in builders' merchants, light side tool distribution, or similar merchant-focused markets in the UK. You will thrive on building and leveraging relationships within the tools or similar markets, be competitive by nature, and a team player who can persevere for the long term.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and building relationships with buyers/decision-makers in named accounts
  • Engaging with relevant buying groups to drive brand involvement
  • Managing several National Accounts
  • Working with the Sales Team to support the ongoing growth of the business
  • Identifying and selling to named accounts
  • Developing ongoing sales opportunities within merchants to build market share
  • Being part of a positive and cohesive sales team and collaborating with the wider team
  • Ensuring quality support and communications with all clients and suppliers
  • Attending relevant exhibitions and representing the brand at industry events
