We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Premier Work Support, working in a fine dining kitchen based in the Enfield area.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering an efficient and high-quality meal service, while promoting the company's values and maintaining operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing, cooking, and serving menu items to a high standard, minimizing food waste.
  • Following recipes and presentation specifications.
  • Staying up-to-date with operational changes, including seasonal menu updates.
  • Leading the kitchen service in the absence of Kitchen Management, as required.
  • Managing food costs within budget.
  • Ensuring proper stock availability, including ordering kitchen supplies and assisting with deliveries and stock counting.
  • Maintaining hygiene compliance, keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, and ensuring food is stored at correct temperatures.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef.
  • Up-to-date Level 2 Food Safety and Allergen Training.
  • The ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure, remaining calm in high-stress situations.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to carry out tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, with a precise eye for detail and a desire for excellence.
  • Reliability and trustworthiness, with good timekeeping.
  • High standards of cleanliness.
  • Good communication skills in spoken English and basic written English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong teamwork and customer care abilities.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and motivational attitude, with a can-do approach.
