HIRANI is a dynamic organization dedicated to cutting-edge research in protein engineering. We are seeking a highly skilled Computational Biology Specialist to join our team.

**Job Summary:**

  • We are looking for a talented computational biologist to contribute to our protein engineering efforts, focusing on designing and engineering antibodies, antigens, and other proteins in various formats according to client needs.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in project planning, implementation, and management under the guidance of the Operations Manager.
  • Analyze data and collaborate with senior scientists to ensure antibody discovery projects meet agreed timelines.
  • Support the development and growth of junior members of staff, providing guidance, supervision, training, and staff appraisals.
  • Identify and assess new/optimized processes/technologies that can enhance our research capabilities.
  • Manage laboratory operations and maintenance, including stock management, procurement, cleaning, equipment calibration, etc.
  • Develop and present technical reports on research activities to internal and external stakeholders.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Bioinformatics, computational chemistry/Biology or related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with MS office applications.
  • Familiarity with machine learning methods used in protein/antibody engineering.
  • Software engineering skills, especially with Python programming language.
  • Familiarity with NGS repertoire analysis.

**Estimated Salary:** £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
