Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Project Specialist to join our team at the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE). As an Energy Project Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting and contributing to the development of strategic and evidence-led approaches to decarbonising energy use in NI homes.

About the Role
This is a temporary contract position for an initial duration of 9-12 months. You will report to the Technical Innovation Manager and be responsible for analysing written research material and data, participating in developing proposals and installations around energy, carbon emissions, fuel poverty, sustainability, and innovation. Your tasks will include assessing Asset Management's construction projects through post-project evaluations and assisting in developing costed programmes for insulation and energy system upgrades.

Your Responsibilities
* Analyse written research material and data to inform decision-making
* Develop and implement strategies to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions
* Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and develop solutions to energy-related challenges
* Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of energy efficiency initiatives
* Assist in developing costed programmes for insulation and energy system upgrades

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field, such as Architecture, Building Surveying, Data Science, or a related discipline. You should also have a minimum of 1 year's relevant experience, which could include salaried postgraduate research or BTEC Higher Certificate/Diploma qualifications. Significant experience in writing technical reports, project management, regulatory requirements, data processing, and computer-aided design is essential.

What We Offer
As an Energy Project Specialist with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that contribute to reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions. Our salary range for this role is up to £40,221 per annum, plus benefits. You will also receive reimbursement for business mileage expenses at 45p per mile.
