The Opportunity

To support delivery on circular economy projects and Stopford technologies, we are seeking an experienced Research Consultant to join our Technology and Innovation team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver research, innovation, and consulting projects across the low-carbon energy and circular economy sectors through experimentation, chemicals analysis, data mining, data interpretation, and reporting.
  • Support the technical and commercial development of Stopford's IP portfolio through data acquisition and interpretation, technology benchmarking, and research into relevant policy and regulation in UK and overseas markets.
  • Support proposal preparation for both grant-funded and commercial projects.
  • Assist in developing strategic relationships with partners, including academic institutions and public and private sector organizations, focusing on low-carbon energy and the circular economy.
  • Project management of research, innovation, and consulting projects.
  • Line management of junior members for the Technology & Innovation team, focusing on their short-term development goals and longer-term career development.
Requirements
  • Degree in a relevant subject area (e.g., Sciences, Environmental Technology, Environment & Business, Sustainability, Enterprise & Environment).
  • Experience working in a similar role.
  • Eligible to live and work in the UK.
  • Full UK/EEA driving license.
  • Working knowledge of Office 365, including One Drive and Sharepoint, with proficient use of Word and Excel.
