About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Project Scheduler to join our team at Serco Limited. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating multiple projects and workstreams within our Maritime division.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project. You will be responsible for developing and managing detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with programme objectives. Additionally, you will maintain a master schedule that integrates individual workstream plans and identifies dependencies and critical path.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Planning and Scheduling: Develop and manage detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with programme objectives. Maintain a master schedule that integrates individual workstream plans and identifies dependencies and critical path.
  2. Documentation and Reporting: Provide timely and accurate updates on project status, highlighting schedule deviations and risks. Maintain and manage all planning-related documentation, including RAID logs and action logs.
  3. Risk and Issue Management: Identify potential scheduling risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies to minimise impact. Escalate significant risks and issues to the Programme Manager when necessary.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience: Working on complex projects and programmes.
  • Scheduling skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Project for planning and scheduling.
  • Analytical skills: Strong analytical and organisational skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Communication skills: Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. Other benefits include:
