About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Medivet Kensington 24-Hour. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our patients and clients, while also leading and managing our nursing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team and ensure high standards of patient care are maintained.
  • Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post-procedure activity.
  • Lead, manage and promote nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 surgeries.
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care, and manage admissions and discharges as directed by the veterinary team.
  • Complete patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care, and dispense and check medication.
  • Deliver professional excellence, implementing and complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
  • Inspire your team, sharing new or evolving practice standards and changes to processes.
  • Engage, coach and develop your team, and proactively support and share clinical best practice across practices and the wider Medivet community.
Requirements
  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Ability to confidently lead a clinical team and implement a progressive clinical culture through nurse clinics and nurse consultations.
  • Experience of using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
