Job Title: Head Registered Veterinary Nurse

Medivet is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at our 24-hour veterinary centre in Kensington. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading and managing the nursing team, and contributing to the overall success of our practice.

About the Role:
  • Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care, including monitoring, administering medication, and performing procedures.
  • Lead, manage, and promote nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 surgeries.
  • Support the veterinary team with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post-procedure activity.
  • Manage admissions and discharges, ensuring smooth transitions for patients and their owners.
  • Dispense and check medication, maintaining accurate records and ensuring patient safety.
  • Deliver professional excellence, implementing and complying with all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
  • Inspire and develop your team, sharing new or evolving practice standards and changes to processes.
  • Engage, coach, and develop your team, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
About You:
  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with a strong background in clinical leadership and patient care.
  • Experience of delivering exceptional patient care, including monitoring, administering medication, and performing procedures.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and patients.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and standards.
