About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Shop Manager to join our team at Dorothy House Hospice. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the shop, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Store Manager in the management of the shop floor, including stock control, display, and rotation.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Recruit, train, and motivate volunteers to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service.
  • Contribute to the development of the shop's visual merchandising and display standards.
  • Monitor and control stock levels, ensuring accurate stock counts and minimizing stock loss.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies to drive sales growth.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in a retail or customer-facing role.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
