About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Shop Manager to join our team at Dorothy House Hospice. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the shop, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Store Manager in the management of the shop, including stock control, rotas, and customer service.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales growth and increase customer engagement.
  • Lead and motivate a team of volunteers and staff to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Monitor and control stock levels, ensuring accurate stock rotation and minimizing waste.
  • Ensure the shop is maintained to a high standard, including cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, donors, and volunteers to build a loyal customer base.
  • Contribute to the development of the shop's marketing and promotional activities.
  • Participate in education, training, and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Good standard of Maths and English.
  • Strong team worker with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Excellent prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Customer-focused with an energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
