Job Title: Head Waiter/Waitress - Lead Server

Job Summary:

The London EDITION is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Waiter or Head Waitress to join our team at Berners Tavern, a renowned restaurant located in the heart of London. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our discerning guests, ensuring a seamless dining experience that exceeds their expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take charge of a section in the restaurant, managing a team of servers and ensuring seamless service delivery
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of our menu, wine list, and allergens to provide expert recommendations to guests
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen team, management, and other departments to ensure a cohesive and efficient service
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a passion for delivering exceptional service and a commitment to excellence
  • Collaborate with the restaurant management team to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance the overall dining experience

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head Waiter or Head Waitress in a high-end restaurant environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team
  • Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and other beverages, with the ability to make informed recommendations to guests
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tables and priorities with ease
