Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in assisting the Head of Finance with the completion of monthly and annual accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of Finance with the preparation of financial statements for a wide range of subsidiaries and the principal group company.
- Take the lead on the production of draft financial statements and ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and submit VAT and other tax returns in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant with strong technical accounting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple competing work streams.
- Experience of producing statutory accounts or reviewing statutory accounts via audit.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
