Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team in a rotational position. This exciting opportunity will allow you to develop your skills and expertise in a variety of clinical areas, including Stroke, Care of the Elderly, Trauma & Orthopaedics, and Medicine.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the clinical area, in the absence of the team leader. They will also be supervised by a named therapist and will receive regular clinical reasoning sessions, observed practice, peer review, and formal training.

Person Specification
  • Essential qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health & Care Professions Council.
  • Essential experience: Experience of working in the NHS in the UK and supervising, appraising, and providing education/training to others.
  • Desirable qualifications: Car driver and understanding of the principles of physiotherapy as well as occupational therapy.
Key Skills and Abilities
  • Deliver a high level of skill in assessment and management of complex patients.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, non-verbal, and written, when interacting with patients/carers, other team members, and the MDT.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply and utilise evidence-based practice, including National guidelines to deliver, evaluate, and audit the service.
  • Ability to network with other professionals and set up close working relations.
