Busway Safety Officer
Job Summary:
As a Busway Safety Officer with CRA GROUP RECRUITMENT AND PAYROLL LTD, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our passengers and employees. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct daily and monthly inspections of the busway and vehicles, identifying defects and hazards, and implementing control measures to minimize risk.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct daily and monthly inspections of the busway and vehicles to identify defects and hazards
• Implement control measures to minimize risk and ensure accurate records are maintained
• Support the Lead Safety Officer in implementing corrective actions and liaise with contractors and maintenance teams
• Establish good customer relationships with contractors, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders, promoting a 'Safety First' approach
• Collaborate with the safety team to develop and implement safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
• NEBOSH (Occupational Health and Safety) or IOSH (Managing Safely in Rail) certification
• Certificated Health & Safety Training
• Experience in engineering, infrastructure maintenance, or a safety role related to transportation
• Qualifications in transport safety or maintenance
• Knowledge of the Railway and Transport Safety Act 2003, and Railways and Other Guided Transport Systems (Safety) Regulations 2006
• Good communication, interpersonal, and negotiating skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize own workload to meet deadlines
• Ability to travel to various sites, including locations with limited public transport and difficult access
