To provide a specialist clinical psychology service to adult clients of the South Westminster Mental Health hub, across all sectors of care. This includes providing specialist psychological assessment and therapy, as well as advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and other carers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychological assessments of clients referred to the team based upon complex data from various sources.
  • Formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and management of clients' mental health problems.
  • Implement a range of psychological interventions for individuals, carers, families, and groups within and across teams.

The post holder will work as an integrated part of the South Westminster Mental Health hubs, providing level 3 interventions such as schema therapy and individual interventions, while supporting level 2 interventions like grounding and mindfulness groups. Supervision is highly valued, with regular reflective spaces provided to support clinical work.

About the Role

This is a four-session locum post, providing an exciting opportunity for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join an innovative and supportive Psychology service. The department provides supervision, training opportunities, and departmental meetings to support professional development. The post holder will be expected to make use of these resources to develop their clinical roles.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, neuropsychology, and lifespan developmental psychology, as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
