Job Title: Transport Planner

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and allocate deliveries to ensure timely arrival of goods
  • Optimize fleet operations to minimize costs and maximize efficiency
  • Communicate effectively with plants, hauliers, and customer service representatives
  • Monitor and adjust plans to ensure compliance with Working Time Directive and EU Drivers' Hours legislation
  • Manage order renegotiations, returned orders, capacity planning, and process improvements

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in transport planning, including working with Transport Management systems
  • Good geographical and road network knowledge
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to providing the best possible customer experience

What You'll Get: A permanent contract and an annual salary of £30,000. This role will be on-site with some flexibility for hybrid working.
