Transportation Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team at Streamline Search. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling routes for our fleet of vehicles, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation solutions for our clients across the UK.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and schedule routes for a fleet of vehicles, covering both general haulage and pallet network deliveries.
- Manage driver allocations and optimize routes for cost-effectiveness, compliance, and on-time performance.
- Liaise with customers and warehouse teams to coordinate loading times and delivery requirements.
- Ensure compliance with driver hours, working time regulations, and all relevant legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all transport activities, including vehicle maintenance schedules, driver logs, and delivery documentation.
- Utilize transport planning software to optimize routes and increase fleet efficiency.
- Assist in the development and implementation of operational improvements to streamline processes and increase productivity.
- Proven experience in transport planning within the general haulage and/or pallet network sector.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the UK road network.
- Experience using transport management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work flexibly across early and late shifts as required.
- Strong understanding of compliance and health & safety regulations within the transport industry.
- Experience in building positive relationships with customers and internal teams.
- Salary £30,000 - £35,000
- Flexible working hours with early and late shift options.
