We are seeking an experienced Residential Care Professional to join our team at Witham Prospect School. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in supporting children with severe learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.

About the Role
  • Support children to meet their needs using individual care plans and positive behaviour support plans.
  • Promote choice, independence, dignity, privacy, and rights of the children in their care.
  • Prior experience working with children with disabilities is essential, as well as knowledge of safeguarding practices and willingness to undergo additional training.
Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support to children with complex needs, including managing challenging behaviour using approved approaches.
  • Assist children with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Requirements
  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work flexibly.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and act in a professional manner at all times.
