Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate outpatient ophthalmic services and support a seamless patient pathway.
- Develop nursing practice in the delivery of care to ophthalmic patients through innovative strategies.
- Work collaboratively with the team to promote, deliver, and maintain high standards of nursing care.
- Support the team in delivering care that improves the health of individuals and the wider community.
- Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and other healthcare professionals.
- Act as an advocate for patient safety and demonstrate courage in speaking up when concerns arise.
- Contribute to the development of individualized patient care plans.
- Lead a team of staff, including consultants, registered nurses, and healthcare assistants.
Requirements:
- Evidence of degree-level study or equivalent.
- Relevant clinical professional development, preferably with certification and NMC registration.
- Maths and English GCSEs at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2.
- Proficient in the use of a PC and software systems.
