Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to join our team at Bupa. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing a product or set of existing Consumer health insurance products to ensure they meet the demands and needs of our customers and prospects, and achieve growth and profitability objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute product strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
- Manage all stages of the product lifecycle, from development to launch and post-launch evaluation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including pricing, finance, legal and compliance, operations, Change, IT and marketing, to ensure alignment and effective product delivery.
- Lead product governance activities, including annual product reviews, to ensure products meet regulatory and competitive requirements.
- Measure and monitor product performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing remedial action.
- Be the primary contact for all aspects of external and internal product enquiries.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the health insurance industry, economic climate, customer needs, and regulatory and competitive landscape.
- Plan and lead delivery of product-related initiatives via cross-functional teams.
- Line management of one direct report.
Requirements:
- Strong customer focus and commercial awareness.
- Proven experience in product management, preferably in a large, regulated organization – Financial Services or similar.
- Able to inspire and deliver innovative solutions through cross-functional teams.
- Experience in major aspects of the marketing mix, particularly product and service design.
- Creative, commercially-minded strategic thinker with credibility to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
- Results-focused, with effective interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Solid working knowledge of Change/Transformation processes and governance.
