ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team in Eastleigh. In this role, you will be responsible for accounting tasks associated with the Wrexham Cable and Components Plants, working closely with Manufacturing & Logistics Managers to optimize performance.
Key Tasks- Manage the production of timely and accurate monthly Management Accounts, ensuring critical insights for internal stakeholders and external reporting requirements.
- Provide financial explanations and identify areas for improvement, collaborating with Manufacturing & Logistics Managers to enhance performance.
- Review variance analysis for Manufacturing and Logistic costs, preparing expert commentaries for Senior management.
- Evaluate inventory levels for the Plants, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare information for audits, maintaining seamless processes with auditors.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects for other members of the Finance Management team.
- Ideal candidate holds experience within a similar accounting position.
- Preferably a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA) or working towards certification.
- Flexible approach required to meet demanding deadlines.
- Outstanding analytical and advanced Excel skills, plus knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
