Job Description:

We are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary special school in Sheffield. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting children with special educational needs and promoting an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering tailored educational programs and activities
  • Providing individual and group support to students
  • Managing and improving student behaviour
  • Supporting the class teacher in preparing resources and setting up activities
  • Providing personal care assistance where necessary
  • Facilitating communication with students who may have language, communication, or sensory needs
  • Monitoring and recording student progress
  • Promoting an inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per annum (equivalent to £84-£95 per day)
