About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our client, a leading food industry company based in Edinburgh.

This is an exciting opportunity for a financial professional to take on a key strategic role in shaping the future of the business.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Financial Reporting and Budgeting: Overseeing the financial reporting and budgeting process for the company.
  • Financial Analysis: Providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Managing the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Leading the preparation and review of forecasts, budgets, and cash flow models.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, to maintain financial integrity.
  • Cost-Saving Initiatives: Identifying opportunities for cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements.
  • Talent Development: Mentoring and developing a high-performing finance team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Technical Expertise: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with significant experience in financial management.
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in the food industry or a related sector is highly desirable.
  • Financial Skills: Strong financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial systems, Excel, and business intelligence tools.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Leadership Skills: A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Team Management: Experience leading and developing teams.
