Job Overview

Southeastern is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Railway Enforcement Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our enforcement team, you will be responsible for leading and directing a team of Railway Enforcement Officers to ensure the security of our railway network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Railway Enforcement Officers to achieve high visibility patrols on trains and at stations.
  • Work in partnership with other departments and outside agencies to reduce crime, anti-social behaviour, and fare evasion.
  • Conduct high-visibility patrols on trains and at stations to deter and detect crime.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to reduce crime and improve passenger safety.
  • Collaborate with other teams to share best practices and improve overall enforcement effectiveness.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor and report on team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.

Requirements

  • Previous experience of leading and managing a team in a similar environment.
  • Must already be a Railway Enforcement Officer with a strong understanding of railway operations and enforcement procedures.
  • Previous experience of working in an environment with a high level of customer contact and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write reports and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Computer literate, with knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly.
