Exciting Opportunity for Data Protection Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Protection Professional to join our team at The Progress Group. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our customers' data and ensuring compliance with data protection legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement our data protection strategy, ensuring adherence to GDPR and other relevant regulations.
  • Lead data protection initiatives, serving as the main point of contact for data protection issues within the organization.
  • Create and deliver training programs to upskill colleagues on data protection requirements.
  • Draft and update data protection policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Regularly audit data processing activities to ensure compliance and address any potential issues.
  • Act as the primary contact for data protection authorities and regulators.
  • Assist with the implementation of ISO27001 standards and ensure compliance with annual Cyber Essentials activities.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years in data protection compliance or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of data protection laws, particularly GDPR.
  • Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Preferably a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, with proficiency in software for preparing reports and presentations.
