About the Role:

This position is based in London and part of our growing EMEA Compliance team supporting World First/Ant International business.

The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, confident self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, experienced in regulatory compliance in payments or financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide assurance to senior management on effective regulatory compliance risk management within licensed entities in the UK;
  • Offer pragmatic regulatory advice and support to all businesses and functions for e-money and payment activities development and growth;
  • Formulate and review policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and group policies;
  • Engage and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities and handle related enquiries (e.g., regulatory inspections);
  • Identify regulatory compliance risks and escalate potential breaches and conduct issues to senior management;
  • Conduct internal compliance training from time to time;
  • Monitor local regulatory changes and ensure all relevant parties are advised and compliant;
  • Carry out risk assessments on products and services offered in the UK market;
  • Support key regulatory projects of the EMEA Compliance team.
Requirements:
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in compliance, regulation, or similar field, preferably five years in a management role;
  • Strong regulatory compliance experience and skills in payments services compliance, regional regulatory management;
  • Knowledgeable in fintech, payment systems, or similar legal and regulatory requirements in the UK;
  • A team leader with ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple teams under tight deadlines;
  • Excellent project management skills and sound judgement;
  • Self-starter with good attitude, resourceful, adaptable, and flexible in a demanding environment;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in English required, Mandarin Chinese desirable but not essential;
  • Experience with e-commerce, payments, MSB, or financial services preferred;
  • Bachelor or Advanced degree in Legal, or equivalent work experience preferred;
  • $120,000 - $180,000 per annum salary depending on experience and qualifications.
