Inghams Chickens is seeking a Senior Meat Inspection Coordinator to join our team at our Further Processing Plant in [location].

This role plays a critical part in ensuring our production and production meet the food safety and quality standards, and you will be responsible for overseeing a group of inspectors responsible for inspecting meat product from all incoming meat suppliers.

As a Senior Meat Inspection Coordinator, you will work on the AM shift with flexibility needed as per business requirement and have immediate start availability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure effective and efficient inspection operations
  • Ensuring that all inspection protocols and procedures are followed, thoroughly examining meat products for safety, quality, and adherence to standards
  • Training and developing the team to enhance understanding of inspection protocols and trends relevant to food safety
  • Overseeing the inspection findings and maintaining accurate records
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders, including production staff, Quality teams, and planners to address adherence to plan and inspection-related issues

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum

Requirements
  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing industry in a Team Leader position
  • Experience in food manufacturing and/or the FMCG industry will be highly regarded
  • Ability to work in a cold environment
  • Proven communication and leadership skills to lead a team
  • Drive the continual improvement of both processes and people
  • A desire to build team capability through training and transfer of knowledge
  • Computer literate and comfortable using the MS suite
  • Experience managing information related to raw materials, product-in-process, packaging materials, finished products, or packed stock
  • Familiarity with GMP Compliance
  • Experience driving positive cultural change
