Job Title: Head of Building Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Central Portfolio Management Office (PMO) in London. As the Head of Building Management, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of our PMO and ensuring the successful delivery of our projects and programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Planning:
    • Develop and maintain the overall PMO strategy in line with our organisational goals and objectives.
    • Define project management methodologies, standards, and best practices for our organisation.
    • Oversee project portfolio management to ensure alignment with business objectives and resource optimisation.
  • PMO Operational Management:
    • Accountable for the coordination and standardisation of all project document templates, standards, and processes across all departments.
    • Define and implement appropriate Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics to quickly identify issues and performance of project and programmes.
  • Portfolio Management & Governance:
    • Lead the management of projects using our current project governance framework, supported by our portfolio management platform.
    • Lead the execution of PMO governance across all departments.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience performing a Head of PMO role, or similar, delivering a portfolio of projects and programmes.
  • Able to demonstrate success in the building and creation of a new PMO function.
  • Proven understanding of project governance, risk, and planning.
  • Substantial experience of using Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
